Remnants of the Past Vintage & Antique Show

This past weekend on June 1st & 2nd in San Luis Obispo County in southern California was a fun but very crowded vintage & antiques show. It was staged at the upper level property of the historical/quirky Madonna Inn. The photos tell “some” of what was experienced from the long, long line to enter the show to the fun and colorful gypsy cart. Some shots are of what was being sold, my favorite were the mink covered bar stools out in front of the indoor booth that had live grass! The photo of the crowns and the sea glass bottle with white coral were purchases made for photo staging for my crafts. The gorgeous charm necklace was from an artist named Selina Vaughan who can be found on Etsy at http://www.selinavaughan.etsy.com. The additional photos that are close-ups of altered art type pieces were taken at one of the vendors’ actual store in Arroyo Grande called Serendipity: [148 W Branch Street, Arroyo Grande, CA (805) 481-5100] http://www.serendipityag.com. I ventured to this show with my aunt Carol who invited me along since she had previously been and thought I might find some things related to crafting. Overall, there were a lot of home decor items but I found some goodies. The weather was nice, sunny and warm and breezy in the shade. The fish & chips pic was from a night out in downtown Pismo Beach. The food was great as well as the service. On our way home we stopped at Letitia Vineyard between Arroyo Grande & Santa Maria. We arrived before they opened based on the hotel check-out time but toured the pristine grounds and even ocean views from the property. They really do have the best Pinot Noir around in my humble opinion. What a great, fun-filled trip. Vintage goods, fish & chips, wine tasting, great weather… who could ask for more? NICE
