K&Co. Halloween Paper Bag Mini Album

This cute little paper Bag mini was made with K&Co. Halloween paper by Kelly Panacci. It has lots of tags & trim and plenty of pocket to stick photos in! I added ribbon to the spine to finish  it off. The embellishments are from the K& Co. collection as well and I used some other embellishments from Jolee’s and lots of Halloween themed trim from Michaels, Cute!

Home Spun

This little paper bag mini album was made with a home spun feel to it. It was a special order item and is intended for photos of family and grandkids. I heard shortly after the recipient received it that she loved it!

I used K&Co. paper, special buttons from e-Bay, lace trims, resist canvas from Tim Holtz as well as hardward on the cover from Tim Holtz (keyhole). All tags were made with the basic tag punch from Michaels. *Tip: if you plan on writing on black or darker colors, make sure you have a white or lighter colored gel pen so it shows up nicely and wait for it to dry because it will smear.

Some stamping was done with Waltzing Mouse stamp sets Paris Nouveau and Victorian Frippery. http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/collections/stamps/vintage?page=3

DCWV Bewitched Halloween Paper bag Mini Album

I waited and waited for Michales to get this paper, asked the managers, staff, to no avail…I guess I didn’t get the memo that Joanne’s Fabrics was the “retailer of choice” for this collection.  You can imagine my excitement finding it after seeing pics of the adorable paper patterns and projects created with it at http://dcwvinc.blogspot.com/2012/08/bewitched-madness.html and loving the idea of suggested coordinating cardstock.

I walked out of Joanne’s with the bag in my hand of the paper and embellishments excited to get crafting and that I paid 25% off too! Later only to realize… I had purchased the cardstock pad – darn it, darn it, darn it!! Or… maybe, it was a blessing in disguise?  YES!

I wouldn’t have purchased the cardstock. What was the outcome? Another trip to Joannes to get the paper stack and then home to see just how useful the coordinating cardstock stack would prove to be. I’ll let you be the judge.

Halloween Album Progress and Completion Photos!!

Hallow everyone,

I finished this heavy weight chipboard album in time for the open house at our local Michaels Crafts store to show and tell with {grin}.

I used the following materials:

Paper – Recollections

Embellishments – Jolee’s, K&Co., Recollections, Celebrate It trim, Fimo clay, some acetate pages and more.

For this project I began with 12×12.5 heavy weight chipboard, painted it, adhered patterned paper, embellished away with chipboard pieces, acetate, tags, sticker embellishments, stamping (minimal on this album), trim, buttons, baker’s twine, paper embellishments, glitter and bling!

It was a fun album to assemble and create. The most challenging part was the cover. I sawed a thin wood 3D haunted house in half and adhered it to the cover with ribbon, staples and glue dots then tied with ribbon trim.

I played a lot with it and had fun, that’s what it’s all about after all.

Stay tuned for more minis that are Halloween themed coming your way!
