WMS Sketch Challenge #125 aka “drUNkEN bIRdIE”

Ok, so  I had a little help (so I thought) from my holiday helper Earl, the Christmas bird on this latest sketch challenge from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I was diligently working on my card and he was passing me supplies and complimenting my choices like good birdies do.

However, he kept excusing himself during the card making process and I found it odd but was happy when he returned to continue assisting me. Now here comes the good part… During the photo shoot after my card was completed, I asked him pose and stand by the card to “show it off” so-to-speak and it all went “south for the winter” from there… He kept falling over, landing on his beak, burping and stumbling (which I didn’t think cute little birdies could do). Come to find out, he had been sipping from the carton of eggnog when he kept sneaking away!

I must say, the pictures are so entertaining and I wanted to teach him a lesson about overindulgence so I’m going with them!

Notes: I would really like to begin incorporating sewing on my cards and using dry embossing too but I can’t sew just yet (I’ll be taking lessons soon though) and the dry embossing is at my mom’s so I do the best I can with what I have and the space I have to work in. At least I have free entertainment!  Thanks Earl. ;0)

Some Christmas Projects!

Ok, so for the sake of time and wanting to share what I’ve been up to, I’ve combined some pics of fun projects I’ve worked on this holiday season so far, I hope you don’t mind… Many of the papers I used are from Michaels (perk of teaching there since I get first glance of products when they hit the shelves).

There are still cookies to bake and cards to mail out along with more keepsake albums to finish, so enjoy the slideshow below. Please feel free to message me any questions in the comments and I will reply :0)  I hope you all are having a festive and wonderful holiday season!

What I left on my son’s bed this Monday…

My teen goes back and forth from his dad’s to my house. It’s a science now… However, it’s nice to welcome him home when our week begins, ya know, because I miss him when he’s gone.

Here is what he came home to find on his bed for a belated Halloween treat!

All products were K&Co. from Michaels except the plastic coffin ($1 store find). The candy were his faves, or so I thought… Kit Kat, yes, Whoppers, oh ya, but Milk Duds… not-so-much… I guess his impression of them is, well, “it’s fake caramel, not like the real stuff”. So two outta three ain’t bad, eh? I’ll keep a look out for buttered, salted caramel – the REAL stuff. Too funny.
