Coordinated Birthday Gift & Card!

Side by Side

Side by Side

This is too pickin’ cute and was so easy to make. I started with a white card base, distressed the edges then adhered the patterned paper with the cute roasted marshmallow print and embellished with camping themed embellishments like the adorable tent with raccoon peeking out of. Next, I stamped the birthday sentiment on a diecut from my stash. Then lined the inside with a muted but patterned paper also in a camping theme, stamped the inside with a couple sentiments and the card was done! Next, I grabbed a box I had saved a few of that I knew would come in handy (don’t ya just love when you make use of things like that)? Next, I cut the paper to match all 6 sides of the box then disressed those pieces and adhered them to the sides. Out of my diecut stash, I grabbed a shape in a size I knew would wrap around the box perfectly and used my Crop-o-dial to add grommets then stamped with a great quote and I was done after stuffing a Starbucks gift card inside.

Haunted Estate Paper Bag Mini Album

Hello all!

I’m still enjoying this fall/Halloween season with all the paper collections out there right now. I am plugging away at a few more Halloween projects before moving onto Christmas. This particular album was great to make and… I was really impressed with Recollections’ design and style of their patterned paper. I was looking for spoooky and they definitely delivered!

I used some I Am Roses flowers on the cover with a stick pin that I glued a cute little button to. I finished it off with a spooky lady skeleton cameo. On the binding, I used some fun trim and attached a Tim Holtz little glass bottle of black glitter with some bakers twine.

The oval tags inside the album that look spritzed… were. I didn’t care for how “bright white” they looked, so I sprayed them with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. The trim on most of all the tags was Martha Stewart (this year’s collection) and used Tim Holtz’s Tiny Attacher. Some additional embellishments are from Jolee’s, Martha Stewart and trim & buttons from my stash. I hope you enjoy!

Halloween Album Progress and Completion Photos!!

Hallow everyone,

I finished this heavy weight chipboard album in time for the open house at our local Michaels Crafts store to show and tell with {grin}.

I used the following materials:

Paper – Recollections

Embellishments – Jolee’s, K&Co., Recollections, Celebrate It trim, Fimo clay, some acetate pages and more.

For this project I began with 12×12.5 heavy weight chipboard, painted it, adhered patterned paper, embellished away with chipboard pieces, acetate, tags, sticker embellishments, stamping (minimal on this album), trim, buttons, baker’s twine, paper embellishments, glitter and bling!

It was a fun album to assemble and create. The most challenging part was the cover. I sawed a thin wood 3D haunted house in half and adhered it to the cover with ribbon, staples and glue dots then tied with ribbon trim.

I played a lot with it and had fun, that’s what it’s all about after all.

Stay tuned for more minis that are Halloween themed coming your way!

Baby Girl Lunch Sack Mini Album #2

This lush mini album has pearl finished papers from DCWV Luxury Stack, tags from Best Creations ‘Sweet Baby’ collection, tons of embellishments from K& Co., many stylish buttons from Dress It Up Button Co., cut outs from the Silhouette Cameo, I am Roses flowers, collectible buttons, trim from Michaels, my personal stash, Recollections layered flowers, and more! I wasn’t sure about the choice in the paper until I got going with the album then it all fell together in such a classy, rich way. I love the fun result. It’s very girlie and soft. The pictures actually do the album justice! Although there is nothing like holding a finished project in your hands. I hope you enjoy and feel free to leave a comment!

Little Boy Lunch Sack Mini Album (My Mind’s Eye)

This lunch sack album is themed with the zoo and stars! The paper stack I used was from My Mind’s Eye, The Boy Papers. This stack was given to me by a fellow crafter Kim Duran {Paper Loves Glue} http://aidenmak.blogspot.com/, thank you Kim! The colors are muted and primary. It is embellished with animals, stars, outdoor settings, collage photo mats in the large pockets and much, much more. The base of the album is a rustic red and has seven pockets, baker’s twine, buttons, dimensional stickers, cut out shapes from the Silhouette Cameo machine http://silhouetteamerica.com/silhouetteCameo.aspx, borders from K&Co., trim from Michaels, brads, buttons from Dress It Up Button Co. http://dressitup.com/ and layered flowers from Recollections.

Daily Junque B-day Card by Pink Paislee

This fun, bright and masculine card was a joint effort with my little crafting buddy Arielle who is six. We decided to make our friend Joel a birthday card that would be a “keeper” and we both were giddy with the result. From the banner to the fun stamping, “raised dotted” cardstock from Bazzil Basics and coordinating color scheme, this Daily Junque paper stack from Pink Paislee is so versatile and very cheery! We began with choosing the color of card stock then moved on to paper selection and pulled out coordinating stamps and trim as we went along. The shape that showcases “Happy Birthday” is from Spellbinders and was cut on Papertrey Ink. “Kraft cardstock” and the small banner stamp we used was from Michael’s $1 bin! The numbers that look old fashion are from the paper collection and add a personalized touch to the card. We cut and distressed them before adding them to the card with foam tape. I hope future cards we make together are just as cute. P.S. Joel, the birthday loved his card. :0)

Baby Boy Mini Album

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This lunch sak mini album is made with DCWV paper stack “Baby Boy” which has images of snails, turtles, elephants, birds, frogs, trees with birds, crocodiles and more. The soft pallet is light browns, greens and blues with some yellows. All with many pockets, tags, bling, trim, layering, embellished photo mats, glittered paper in this stack make for a album you can be proud to show off. I used the Martha Stewart picket fence punch, Recollections tag punch for all the small tags and embellishments from Jolee’s Boutique as well as Recollections. My favorite part of this album are the soft tones and colors along with the adorable critters used in the paper stack. I used Antique Linen Distress Ink from Tim Holtz on the entire album.
