Side by Side
This is too pickin’ cute and was so easy to make. I started with a white card base, distressed the edges then adhered the patterned paper with the cute roasted marshmallow print and embellished with camping themed embellishments like the adorable tent with raccoon peeking out of. Next, I stamped the birthday sentiment on a diecut from my stash. Then lined the inside with a muted but patterned paper also in a camping theme, stamped the inside with a couple sentiments and the card was done! Next, I grabbed a box I had saved a few of that I knew would come in handy (don’t ya just love when you make use of things like that)? Next, I cut the paper to match all 6 sides of the box then disressed those pieces and adhered them to the sides. Out of my diecut stash, I grabbed a shape in a size I knew would wrap around the box perfectly and used my Crop-o-dial to add grommets then stamped with a great quote and I was done after stuffing a Starbucks gift card inside.

Hi all, October 5th was National Card Making Day and appropriately the monthly Scrap-In was held and I had a whopping 5 students attend and couldn’t have been more thrilled! What a fun time we all had making cards, laughing, talking and sharing tips and our cards with one another. We demonstrated the Spellbinder Grand Caliber machine and the Martha Stewart corner and border punch sets. It couldn’t have gone better. I’ve attached a few pics of our cards and messy crafting table too. Nothing says “we’re makin’ stuff” than – an incredibly messy table, ha, ha!
Michales Stores holds their Scrap-Ins on the first Saturday of every month for $5 and students are encouraged to show up with their projects to work on. I welcome empty handed students as well to just come a play and gain inspiration for a craft. We always end up having a great time.
