Taking something that most people would throw away and making it into a useful item is one of my favorite things to do!

The YL box was sturdy, had a magnetic closure and satin ribbon pull tab already! I mean… C’mon, slam dunk. I covered the box simply with no bulky embellies in case I need it to nestle in a book case flush against books. The inside, I altered to showcase handmade cards with same collection used – Maggie Holmes’ Carousel

Here is the Young Living Box I altered! It’s sturdy, has all the elements that make perfect sense for holding cards.

Carousel by MH is probably one of my favorite collections of all time! So of course I had to use this to alter the box and create ready-made cards to store in it.

Here is some progress of the inside 😉 I played and played with the layout of the left side before gluing everything down.

This little pocket can store sentiments to use on the created cards that I didn’t 100% finish (so I have flexibility on what to make them) Ie. Birthday, Congrats, Thank You, Thinking of you, etc…

  Here is the finished inside with cards and a magnetic band (that wasn’t quite strong enough, booooo) so I used a binder clippy. *CLICK TO ENLARGE

I just love how simple yet satisfying this project was to create. Maybe you have some great packaging laying around you can alter and make good use of it! Happy Crafting 😉
